Why The Cure for Curiosity?

Welcome to The Cure for Curiosity.

I’m sure most of you have heard the quote by Dorothy Parker:

“The cure for boredom is curiosity. There is no cure for curiosity.”

But I believe, the cure for curiosity is exploration and pursuing information on those curiosities which in turn creates new questions and a never-ending circle of craving new information and expanding your mind.

Cure: (Verb) To relieve the symptoms of a disease or condition.

Curiosity: (Noun) A strong desire to know or learn something.

Me? I am a perpetual learner. While I have tried many learning styles, from formal classrooms to professional jobs, my favorite way to learn is hands on, through traveling and first hand experiences.  By stimulating all of my senses, I gain not only a greater insight and understanding but also longer lasting memories.

For example, do you remember studying for an exam in high school or college? Could you still ace that exam?  Probably not.  But do you remember what you did over Spring Break, where you were, who you were with, and how you felt? I would imagine so.

Take a look through The Cure for Curiosity site and maybe you can soothe some of your curiosities about the wonderful world we live in and in turn create new curiosities which drive you to go explore further.
